Choosing Which Format To Do

When this project was first introduced to me I was faced with a decision: magazine or film opening. When comparing the two, there are obviously many pros and cons of each format. With the film, I would have the opportunity to express a topic without having to verbally explain it to the audience. In contrast, with the magazine I would have the ability to go into depth on multiple topics rather than focusing on a singular plot.
Then, I thought about what I would personally enjoy doing more; I have always loved photography, but I also loved the idea of creating a storyline through a film. I knew I would have the ability to be much more creative in the film opening, but I felt that the actual process of filming the project would become tiresome for me. I feel that I would have become frustrated quickly with the film opening because of the large ideas I have but limited opportunities to execute these ideas.
After comparing my options and my limitations, I finally decided on the magazine format for my project. I came to this decision because I know I will enjoy setting up and taking pictures and the process of creating articles that articulate the ideas expressed in my images.
